Climate Change and the News

Metcalf Institute launched the Climate Change and the News initiative in 2013 to improve and increase news coverage of climate change, one of the most wide-reaching and complex environmental issues of our time.  Leveraging an initial grant from The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, the initiative has received support from a broad collaboration of philanthropic, federal, news, and non-profit partners to the bring Metcalf’s highly regarded science-based training to journalists and news consumers across the nation.

This investment in journalists’ professional development is repaid many times over, as alumni of Metcalf Institute’s Climate Change and the News Seminars have the potential to reach millions of news consumers globally, every single day.
