Gary W. Yohe is the Huffington Foundation Professor of Economics and Environmental Studies at Wesleyan University.  He is the author of more than 100 scholarly articles; most of his recent work has focused attention on the risk-management approach to the mitigation and adaptation sides of the climate change issue.  He has been a senior member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since the mid 1990’s.  Dr. Yohe also served as member of the New York City Panel on Climate Change.  He served as a member of the National Research Council Committee on America’s Climate Choices (Panel on Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change Adaptation) and the National Research Council Committee on Stabilization Targets for Atmospheric Greenhouse Gas Concentrations.  He continues to serve as a co-editor (along with Michael Oppenheimer) of Climatic Change and a Vice-Chair of the National Climate Assessment Development and Advisory Committee for the current Administration; and he is Convening Lead Author and he advises the Core Writing Team for the Synthesis Report for the Fifth Assessment of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
