Biography

Kavitha George is a climate change reporter for Alaska Public Media. She is dedicated to communicating the ways life in Alaska is rapidly changing, as warming oceans, melting permafrost and unpredictable weather patterns transform the state. Kavitha lives in Anchorage, on the traditional homelands of the Dena’ina Athabascan people. Previously, she hosted Alaska Morning News, and worked as a reporter on Kodiak Island and in Juneau. She moved to Alaska after completing her undergraduate studies in cognitive science and journalism at the University of California, Berkeley.
