Miguel Otarola joined Colorado Public Radio in 2021 as a climate and environment reporter. He previously reported on Minneapolis and its suburbs for four years at the Star Tribune. Otarola began his journalism career interning at newspapers across the country, including The Arizona Republic, Seattle Times and Boston Globe. Otarola was also a host of a music show at KFAI 90.3 FM, a community radio station in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born in Chile and raised in Tucson, Arizona.
