Christian von Preysing-Barry is a reporter for KRGV, located on the southern tip of Texas. He’s reported on U.S./Mexico border issues for five years, covering immigration surges and the proposed border wall from just about every angle. Christian also reports on wildlife and habitat in this nearly tropical part of the United States. He focuses on telling stories about how big development competes with natural spaces. He’s also covered major flooding and Hurricane Harvey along the Gulf Coast. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a B.A. in journalism and anthropology with a certificate in computer science.
